wow, this gave me a moment of... fuck, i heard something very similar to that just recently... what the hell was it? i can't remember - oh yeah, i think it was someone quoting an article about christopher hitchens, the writer was hanging out with him and watching him get very drunk, and sort of witty, but speculated that it wasn't really that entertaining, and maybe it was the worst-case scenario, that he had become a bore - or something like that
